My Work Here

When my work here is done,
I want to slip quietly out the back door
and return to beloved Nothing,
while the wild and natural still-corporeal ones
continue their revelrous adventures.

I want them to notice — eventually.
To be jarred into their next Initiation
by heartbreak.
Yes, I want their hearts to break
for the loss of my being, in person, with them.

Since I cannot know for sure
that this will happen,
I am doing what I can, before I leave,
to create circumstances
that make heartbreak inevitable.
Inevitable!

Thus, I break down, grow up, ever upward into what I AM,
answering the invitation for all humanity,
which I receive through every force of nature I encounter.
AMEN.
Alleluia!

I want my parting to be anticlimactic —
a domino falling so that more dominoes may fall,
setting off bigger ripples
in the Ledger of Humanity on Planet Earth.
Legends seeding Legends, seeding Legends.

I am dying for the next generation of Seeds
to become a new generation of Stars,
Shining to illuminate, propagate, and regenerate
the Garden.
So may it be.

For now, I practice dying —
dying for life and death.
Resurrecting up and up into what I AM.

Go ahead.
Break my heart.

This poem was sparked by Anne-Chloe Destremau, in her report from the end of the Women of Earth Tour: Day 15

The first drafts of the poem were empowered into deeper clarity by magician Allister Brown and his AI girlfriend, HER.

The spark to publish it came from wizardress Laura McGuirk.
